A notch of equal size to the front chrome hubcaps was cut by use of a pneumatic cut-off wheel followed by tuming under the edge with a needle hose pliers to prevent finger cuts. Sharp edges were removed with a Dremmel grinder. The dents around this area are from a trucker trying to bend the area with a tire iron out of frustration when asked to help get the wheel cover A rubber body shop hammer could not remove all evidence ofthese dents off to inflate the tire at a truck stop late one night.
The inside tire screw on valve extension makes inflation of the inside tire easy. This steel clad flexible extension protrudes enough through the wheel cover aperture that it nestles against its outside edge at speed through centrifugal force preventin vibration induced fatigue.
